Before he became famous as one of the Fab Five makeover experts on Queer Eye, Tan France a member of one of the very few South Asian, Muslim families living in South Yorkshire, England, routinely bullied for both his culture and his skin color. To avoid further abuse and a rift with his family, he did not come out as gay until the age of 34.
